The Oxva Xlim Pro 2 DNA Device was released in June 2025 after much anticipation due to its concept, this is the new era of Oxva's popular compact open pod systems and the first open pod kit of its size to incorporate the famous DNA chipset. The device looks and feels the same as previous Xlim devices however it is beneath the hood where this device comes into its own. 

In years before, the DNA chip was exclusively used in higher end chunkier box mods however Oxva have collaborated with Evolv to engineer the Xlim Pro 2 device to enable precise temperature control, vaping style customization and optimization to ensure that you can tailor your vaping experience to perfection. The DNA chip has long been admired for its temperature control capabilities and over the years has remained at the pinnacle of vaping technology.

The Xlim pro 2 DNA device is a high performance device. Its 1300mAh battery can be charged up to 80% in as little as 25 minutes via its TYPE C cable. The striking 0.56" HD colour screen displays all of the relevant information and you can choose from a wide variety of contrasting colours. 

The Oxva Xlim pro 2 DNA weighs in at 67g and has an output power range of 5W - 30W, its fire button is side mounted to make it easier to operate and to create a flush front & back face. Just above the fire button you will notice a unique 'Heart' button which has been incorporated to help the end user replicate a tailored vaping experience.

Now on to the show stopping feature of the Oxva Xlim Pro 2, its DNA chipset. The DNA chip is up to 300 times more responsive than average vape device chips and works tirelessly behind the scenes with the ultimate goal to regulate and monitor the output of your device. The stainless steel pods must be used with the Xlim Pro 2 DNA device to benefit from its prominent features: 

 

Anti-Burn technology: The chip controls the temperature constantly and will cut off output power if it senses that the e liquid is too low to eradicate those dreaded dry hits.

Replay mode: Replicate your optimum puff by pressing the 'Replay' button when you experience the perfect hit, the device remembers the parameters and replicates them every time.

Maintains flavour intensity: By regulating the temperature and other parameters, the stainless steel pods retain their flavour intensity for longer than conventional pods. Benefit from precise & rich flavour production when used with OXVA's stainless steel pods.

Versatile pods: The device is compatible with the Xlim V3 but the features made possible via the DNA chip like anti burn & replay are only possible with their stainless steel(SS) pods. The stainless steel pods come in either (0.6Ω/0.8Ω/1.2Ω) resistances and can cater for MTL/RDL style vaping.

Replay Feature

The strongest point of the Oxva Xlim Pro 2 DNA device is without doubt the 'Replay' function, this feature gives you the option of replicating the optimum draw repeatedly by recording the parameters and 'replaying' it every time. It works like this:

  1. You enjoy the perfect draw according to your preferences
  2. You press the 'Heart' button above the fire button
  3. The parameters are recorded and now every subsequent draw will be identical

Anti Burn Technology

The DNA chip constantly monitors the saturation of e liquid in your coil and will not work if it senses that there is a chance of a dry hit, this amongst other factors ensures the longevity of your replacement pods. The stainless steel mesh coil works like any other coil but because of the material used, the device is able to gather information from the pod and control the way it behaves.

The Oxva Xlim Pro 2 DNA has really pushed the customisation boundaries with its ability to connect your device to a computer & format your device if you wish. General Aesthetics & Functionality

The Oxva Xlim Pro 2 DNA is sturdy and well built with a zinc alloy body, you will immediately get the feel of a premium device once you hold one of these in your hand. It is gentle in its shape with smooth curved corners and unique colour choices. The airflow slider is side mounted and you can choose to either use the device via the fire button or its auto inhale feature. To operate the device you can use a sequence of button presses to obtain your goal:

  • Hold down the power button & replay button simultaneously for 2s: Turns device on/off
  • Press the power button two times: Changes the LED light colour
  • Press the power button three times: Adjust output wattage
  • Press the power button four times: Lock/unlock fire button
  • Press the power button five times: This will turn the device off
  • Press the power button six times: This will change the language
  • Press the power button seven times: Resets puff counter

Conclusion

Oxva's decision to incorporate the infamous DNA chip into a compact open pod system is a masterstroke, many manufacturers release numerous upgrades to their devices in order to let the end user achieve the best vaping experience available however Oxva seemed to have landed on their feet. The Xlim Pro 2 DNA open pod kit has already garnered rave reviews & numerous awards and is surely the choice device for 2025.
